Working for Morrell Middleton for since 1996, Nicci has excellent Sage skills and primarily handles preparation of management accounts, regularly attending clients premises. She also trains on the use of accounts packages and setting up of accounting systems.

Val prepares Self-Assessment Tax Returns for our personal tax clients, calculating and advising the tax payments due. Preparing and overseeing our payroll bureau. She also represents clients’ interests at payroll compliance visits and provides payroll health checks. Previously a compliance officer in the Inland Revenue, Val has more than 35 years’ experience of tax and related issues.

Natasha Screeton

Previously Natasha managed a team of staff at two branches of Dutton Moore, one of Hull’s largest firm’s of accountants. She has proved herself to be well suited to her current role of business development, including developing marketing strategies and improving customer satisfaction levels, both key factors in her role.

Natasha has always been involved in owner managed businesses, coming from a family of entrepreneurs and having set up and managed several businesses of her own.

Martin Poole

Martin has been in the accountancy industry for over 20 years. A Fellow of the ACCA, with over 10 years’ experience as a manager in his previous firm, Garbutt and Elliott. His client portfolio consisted of both owner managed businesses and those where the owners are not directly involved day to day. He actively promotes advisory services, such as management accounting and tax planning and can also work with clients on non-financial strategic issues in their businesses.

Martin has a strong network of contacts who allow him to fully support and advise his clients. He is involved in the Chamber of Commerce “Ask the Expert” program, and has organize and run several workshops, attracting a strong attendance to promote and improve clients businesses. Been an accredited Growth Accelerator government funding advisor for business he allows us to access financing for clients new projects.

Steve Morrell

Steve has worked for over 28 years in accountancy, working for several York firms to gain knowledge and experience before joining his father’s firm (Morrell & Co) in 1991. Being heavily into technology, he also ran a computer firm offering advice, sales and support for accounting and office based systems and also a Financial Services company.

In 2005 when his father died suddenly he took control of the firm, Morrell Middleton, and sold off the 2 smaller concerns to concentrate on the core business of accountancy, growing the firm to the 10 staff it has today whilst continuing to implement technology that powers successful business in today’s competitive market.

A Fellow of the ACCA, he qualified in 1995 and is also a Qualified Statutory Auditor. He has practical knowledge of the difficulties and regulations facing businesses today having being involved in not just the accountancy sector but hospitality, investment, technological, transport and rental business sectors.
